Jude: Lifestyle Newborn Photos

Newborns are adorable, but capturing all that sweetness on camera is not as easy as it might seem! Getting the perfect snuggly sleeping shots and the contented drowsy smiles can prove quite elusive at times. Fortunately, not only is Jude super adorable, but also literally the best baby I have ever seen. Ever. That is saying something, because I used to work full-time as a pediatric nurse, so I have seen at LOT of babies. He just slept and snuggled while I clicked away!

This session was extra special because Jude is my nephew, and his birth was the perfect reason to plan a little vacation to St. Louis to meet him! I took newborn photos for his big brother, Reece, several years ago, and it is crazy to watch how much he has grown up. But he is going to be the best big brother. It was so fun to hang out with Anna, Daniel, Reece, and Jude, and capture some precious memories of their first days as a family of four. (And did I mention that Anna decorated the CUTEST cactus + llama nursery for Jude??) Enjoy these photos!

The Cooper Family: Stephenville Family Photographer

It was such a sweet thing to be able to take photos for the Cooper family. When I first moved to Stephenville, Alex was one of the first people I met, and we bonded quickly over a Hobby Lobby trip and the fact that we were both pregnant! Our babies were born a month apart, and walking through pregnancy and mom life together has been so sweet. And now the Coopers are moving across the country so Sterling can attend seminary!

As bittersweet as that is, it makes me so happy that we were able to get family photos for them right before they moved. AND, it worked out in the coolest way— it just so happened that they were also celebrating their six year anniversary, AND we did their photo session at the same place where they got married! Cue all the feels. You can see why this was such a special session on so many levels. Enjoy this sweet family/anniversary photo session!
